About me

I am glad to meet you!

My name is Gisele. Born in 1973, I am a mother of a now grown-up son, I work internationally and I live in Belgium after years in France, Spain, Serbia and Germany.

My personal and professional path brought me to different places and different countries, where I have experimented with a vast range of encounters and insightful experiences.

My interest in the 'living', for ‘the other’, lies back in my late teens. I was volunteering for international projects and, later, coordinated long-term volunteering experiences for young people, worldwide, or almost. This brought me to study intercultural sensitivity and intercultural communication and increased my curiosity to explore who we are and how we relate to the world.

Years later, I started exploring and training in different areas such as competence development, the Neurocognitive Behavioural Approach (Institute of Neurocognitivism, Brussels, Belgium), Inspirational Leadership through Emotional Intelligence (Case Western University, online), or Process Communication Model (introduction level).

In parallel to those professional development experiences, I have worked on facilitating international group dynamics and learning for about 30 years. I continue doing that to this day, and it is an enormous source of learning for me as well.

My interest in the Gestalt approach emerged in the years 2010. It has been a long road until I could finally start training as a Gestalt therapist with the Belgian Institute of Gestalt Therapy. Life takes many detours and offers a world of possibilities. Yet, eventually, I enrolled and got trained as a Gestalt therapist. Today, I orientate my ongoing learning towards trauma healing and the connection with neurosciences. I also started to explore Systemic Coaching in Organisations’ with the Bert Hellinger Institute through their introductory programme. I also work with Systemic and Family Constellations.

Since I started that path, there hasn't been one day that did not bring reflection, contrasts, and opportunities to explore and keep on learning. Learning alone is not possible, hence the need to treasure what other human beings and our environment offer.

I am grateful for the people I had the chance to meet, that accompanied me on the way, and for all those, I am still to meet.

I am a member of the Belgian Association of Gestalt.
